Bubble wrap is a flexible plastic sheet with uniformly spaced air-filled bubbles that absorb shock and prevent surface scratching during handling and transit. Each bubble acts as an individual air cushion — when the bubble wrap-lined package is dropped or knocked, the air in the bubbles compresses and absorbs the impact energy before it reaches the product surface.
Upackarts supplies bubble wrap rolls in small bubble (10mm bubble diameter) and large bubble (25mm bubble diameter) variants. Small bubble is used for surface protection of glass, electronics, crockery, and finished goods where scratch prevention is the primary objective. Large bubble provides better impact cushioning for heavier items and is used as void fill in outer cartons.
Standard bubble wrap can generate static electricity when products are wrapped and unwrapped. For electronic components, PCBs, hard drives, and semiconductor devices, static discharge can cause permanent damage that is invisible to the eye but renders the component non-functional. Anti-static (pink) bubble wrap contains a special additive that prevents static buildup. Upackarts supplies anti-static bubble wrap for electronics manufacturers, IT equipment distributors, and repair shops in Pune.
E-commerce sellers wrapping individual products before placing them in shipping cartons. Movers protecting furniture, crockery, and home appliances during relocation. Manufacturers wrapping finished goods before secondary packaging. Exporters adding an inner protection layer to individual components inside wooden crates. Glass and ceramics dealers protecting stock during storage and delivery.
Small bubble (10mm) is better for wrapping items where surface scratch prevention is the priority — glass, ceramics, polished metal, electronics. Large bubble (25mm) provides more cushioning depth for heavier items and is better as a void-fill material or when drop protection is more important than surface protection.
For most fragile items, a minimum of 2-3 wraps of small bubble is recommended, with the bubbles facing inward against the product. For very fragile items like wine glasses or thin ceramic, 4-5 wraps plus a corrugated inner divider provides adequate protection for road transport.
Upackarts stocks standard widths of 1m and 1.5m in roll format. Custom widths and perforated rolls (pre-cut at regular intervals) are available on bulk orders. Contact us for pricing on quantities above 50 rolls.
